This $30 million plus project upgraded the existing 12kV distribution system for the Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, including a new 56MW and two new 28MW substations, new 12kV overhead and underground distribution systems feeding all major portions of the base, and tie lines between substations. Don Hinderliter Architect was metering substation architect. Design services included construction designs, plans, specifications, drawings, calculations. site studies, conceptual development, shop drawing approvals, life-safety egress plans, hazards analysis, and building code reviews.
