Don Hinderliter, President
Don Hinderliter has practiced architecture for 15 years. His experience includes single and multi-family residential, office, sacred, retail, mixed-use, electronics labs, historic, parking garages, sustainable design, hospitality, and military projects. Projects include low-rise and high-rise. Project delivery methods include traditional design-bid-build as well as design-build. He is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), San Diego Chapter and serves on the Living Building Challenge Committee as Regulatory Subcommittee Chair.

Prior to becoming an architect, Mr. Hinderliter served as a commissioned officer aboard U.S. Navy nuclear submarines. He was responsible for over 20 personnel and millions of dollars of electrical, sonar, and other electronic equipment. He qualified to oversee nuclear propulsion plant operation as well as having charge of the entire submarine as Officer of the Deck underway and Ship's Duty Officer in port. He also earned his gold "Dolphins", learning every shipboard system and its operation.

The benefit to our clients of Mr. Hinderliter's very strong technical and engineering background is that Mr. Hinderliter understands the myriad systems that are at the heart of contemporary buildings. He ensures that systems are fully integrated from the beginning of conceptual design all the way through construction. He has the knowledge and understanding to ask the right questions and resolve critical engineering issues.

Our clients also benefit from Mr. Hinderliter's leadership experience. He makes sure the architectural team is organized and efficient while keeping the entire design consultant team focused and on track:

"His organization skills helped keep the entire team moving in the same direction and he always followed through with what he said he would do." Alan Levy, District Construction Risk Manager, Nordic PCL Construction
